Common questions
Why won't my gate motor open?
Common causes are a power failure or flat backup battery, flat remote batteries, an obstruction or misaligned safety beam, the manual release being engaged, or a motor, gearbox or control board fault. Check that the gate is not on manual release, then call us if it still will not move.
How often should a gate motor be serviced?
Gate motors work hard every day. A yearly service keeps them reliable and picks up wear before it causes a breakdown.
Can I still open my gate during a power failure?
Most gate motors have a manual release for emergencies, and a battery backup lets the gate keep working during load shedding. We can add battery backup to an existing gate.
