Beeping usually means the energiser is reporting a problem. Typical causes are a flat or failing backup battery, a power failure, vegetation or debris touching the fence, or damaged wires and insulators. If it keeps beeping, have it checked.

If the damage is limited to a few wires, insulators or an energiser, repair is usually the cost-effective answer. Replacement makes sense when the fence is old, heavily damaged or no longer suits the property. We will give you an honest assessment.

Electric fences must comply with South African regulations, and a certificate of compliance is often required, for example for insurance or when a property is sold. We can issue one.
